This policy explains how Domus Felix collects and uses your personal data when you use our website or our services, and the rights you have under the GDPR and Irish data protection law.
1. Who we are
Domus Felix is a trading name of Proprietas Republic Holdings Limited, a company registered in Ireland (Company No. 709210), with its registered address at 20 Derryknockane Close, Ballycummin Village, Raheen, Limerick, Ireland. We are the data controller for personal data collected through domusfelix.ie.
2. What we collect
When you submit an enquiry, sourcing request, corporate enquiry or partner registration, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, city, travel dates, number of guests and your message.
If you use the AI Property Match tool, we process the text you type in to suggest suitable properties.
If you log in to the Corporate Portal, we process your login details and account information.
Our servers also record basic technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the website running.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to reply to your enquiry, find and offer suitable accommodation, prepare quotes, manage bookings, issue invoices and VAT receipts, and keep in touch with you about your stay.
Our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract; our legitimate interests in running and securing our business; and complying with legal obligations such as tax and accounting rules.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where needed to provide our service: with property owners and accommodation partners when arranging your stay; with our website hosting provider; with our email delivery provider, which sends enquiry confirmations; with our AI provider, which processes the text you enter in AI Property Match; with Google, which provides the map on our contact page; and with a payment provider if you pay online.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
We may also disclose data where required by law.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for up to 24 months, then delete them. Booking and invoice records are kept for 6 years to meet Irish tax and accounting requirements.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email inquiries@domusfelix.ie. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland at www.dataprotection.ie.
7. Security
Our website uses SSL encryption, and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to provide our service.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
